Composite materials or composites usually consist of two or more materials and are light and extremely resilient. The aerospace industry values these materials as they offer high tensile strength and rigidity combined with low density. Other advantages include high energy absorption capacity, corrosion resistance, low thermal expansion and excellent fatigue behavior.
